Recognizing Boards’ Outstanding DE&I Achievements

For several years, NACD has celebrated and recognized forward-thinking boards that leverage the power of DE&I to enhance their governance, create long-term value for stakeholders, and build innovative and inclusive boardrooms and workplaces.

We are excited to announce this year’s award winners.

2024 NACD DE&I Award Winners

Three winners were selected based on the alignment of the board’s composition, culture and practices with the company's DE&I objectives, the impact of the company’s DE&I initiatives on internal and external stakeholders, and the benefits those initiatives bring to the company and its operations.

The three winners above will be celebrated at the NACD Directorship 100 Awards Gala on December 16 in New York. The announcement of the DE&I Awards recipients complements the Directorship 100 Awards, which celebrates and recognizes the most influential directors and leaders in the corporate governance community who have demonstrated excellence in the boardroom through innovation, courage and integrity.

More About the NACD DE&I Awards

Most recently, NACD's DE&I Awards Gala has become one of many cornerstone initiatives we offer to share boardroom best practices, experiences and perspectives on the value DE&I offers companies and governance. Companies, their boards and even NACD continue to evolve and shape the steps they take to leverage DE&I in a way that leads to positive outcomes for the business, its operations, people and stakeholders.

NACD has been committed to leading diversity, equity, and inclusion and actionable change in the boardroom for more than 45 years. We believe that if harnessed constructively, different perspectives in the boardroom – and in companies – yield better outcomes for all stakeholders.

We made some changes to the DE&I Awards celebration this year to further elevate the achievements of boards that embrace DE&I, bring their best practices to a wider audience and create an opportunity for connections among those who want to learn from the best.

In 2024, NACD will select nominated boards and recognize those who are most forward-thinking in two ways:

  • During NACD’s Directors Summit, 10 finalists will be announced at an exclusive, invitation-only reception. Directors Summit is the premier corporate governance event of the year, bringing together 1,300+ governance experts, business leaders and policy makers to discuss the latest innovations, opportunities and challenges in the governance ecosystem.
  • The three winners above will be celebrated at the NACD Directorship 100 Awards Gala on December 16.
