Cyber-Risk Oversight

This in-boardroom education program draws on the fifth edition of the NACD-ISA Director's Handbook on Cyber-Risk Oversight (2026). The handbook provides an independently validated framework built on six oversight principles, along with 15 boardroom tools, to give the full board the frameworks and strategies it needs to manage cyber risk effectively. Boards that complete the program receive a certificate of completion in the organization's name that can be referenced in proxy statements.

Technology Leadership in the Boardroom

This in-boardroom education program is grounded in the ten principles of NACD's Blue Ribbon Commission report, Technology Leadership in the Boardroom: Driving Trust and Value. It organizes technology governance around oversight, insight, and foresight to align the full board, and it is designed for non-technical directors. Boards that complete the program receive a certificate of completion in the organization's name that can be referenced in proxy statements.

AI Strategy and Governance

The program affirms collective, not individual, governance readiness—ensuring the board can respond to investors, regulators, proxy advisors, and other stakeholders, and can signal credible, verifiable governance maturity to that same audience.  This workshop is meant to augment the personal learning and professional development undertaken by individual directors to remain current on critical topics in the boardroom.

Governing Into The Future

This in-boardroom education program translates NACD's Framework for Governing into the Future into a facilitated full-board session. Developed by NACD's Commission on the Future of the American Board with more than 20 board leaders, investors, CEOs, and academics, the framework sets out ten principles-based standards that replace one-size-fits-all checklists with judgment-based governance. It applies to public and private company boards alike. Boards that complete the program receive a certificate of completion in the organization's name that can be referenced in proxy statements.

Board Management Roles

This in-boardroom education program gives the full board a practical framework to define, align, and protect that boundary. Directors explore their three roles as decision-maker, oversight body, and strategic advisor. They also learn how clear delegation of authority keeps oversight strong without drifting into day-to-day management.

Building a High-Performing Board

The program is grounded in the ten principles of NACD's Blue Ribbon Commission report, Culture as the Foundation: Building a High-Performance Board. It guides boards through defining their optimal culture, reinforcing behavioral norms, and addressing cultural fault lines. Boards that complete the program receive a certificate of completion in the organization's name that can be referenced in proxy statements.

The Board-CEO Relationship

This in-boardroom education program draws directly on NACD's 2025 Blue Ribbon Commission report on building a high-trust board-CEO relationship and its accompanying 12-tool Toolkit for Action. Most boards already know what good looks like. The program gives them the intentionality, consistency, and structure to build trust through concrete behaviors. Boards that complete the program receive a certificate of completion in the organization's name that can be referenced in proxy statements.
