Matthew Fust Senior Advisor, Out Leadership

Matthew K. Fust is a board member and advisor to life sciences companies. He serves as a director of Nasdaq-listed companies Atara Biotherapeutics, Crinetics Pharmaceuticals, and Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical, and venture-backed companies ArsenalBio and Neumora Therapeutics. 

Fust consults with life sciences companies in corporate finance and strategy. Previously, he served as the chief financial officer of the biopharmaceutical companies Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and ALZA Corporation, and was a management consultant in Andersen Consulting’s health care strategy practice. 

Fust is an advocate for corporate board diversity, with a focus on LGBTQ+ inclusion. He is senior advisor to the OutQUORUM corporate board initiative of Out Leadership, and is a board candidate mentor for the Boardroom Ready program of Women in Bio.

Fust has an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Minnesota.
