Linda Rabbitt founded rand* construction in 1989 and was one of very few female leaders in the industry at the time. She is still an active leader as Founder and Chair and is responsible for setting the strategic vision for the entire organization. Linda provides executive direction, manages client services, and oversees all aspects of corporate and financial operations. Since stepping down as CEO, Linda is focusing on growing the next generations of rand* leaders and a 30-year legacy of leadership and excellence. Under her leadership, rand* has grown into one of the top general contractors in the DC metro area and has expanded on a national scale with licensure to perform construction services in over 26 states. Her knowledge of the industry and professional experience has enabled rand* to deliver award-winning work for a vast client base.
The associations Linda has served on the boards of include: Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, The Federal City Council (Chair) , The Greater Washington Board of Trade (Chair), Economic Club of Washington, International Women’s Forum, Washington, DC Chapter (President), Washington Building Congress (President) and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) (President). She was a Trustee of the George Washington University and the Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank (5th District). In addition, Linda has served as an independent Board member of Watson Wyatt, Towers Watson (Lead Director), Willis Tower Watson and Brookfield Properties.
Linda founded a program at George Washington University called “On the Board” teaching C-suite women the roles and responsibilities of corporate Board directorship and recently, founded a similar program at the Harvard Business School called “Women on Boards”.
The business media recognizes Linda as an exceptional leader. Linda holds a Master of Arts degree from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan.
