A dual citizen of Spain and the United States, Rocio Summers is a global CFO, with business and financial experience in Europe, North and Central America, and South America and is an audit committee qualified financial expert.

She is the founder of RS International Business Consulting LLC, a consulting firm that provides business strategy and financial organization advisory services to corporations and not-for-profit organizations that are expanding internationally. Summers is currently a part-time CFO of CEDAP USA, a private global manufacturing company in the food industry, with headquarters in Europe and divisions in Mexico, Brazil, and Utah. As the CFO for the U.S. branch, she leads the operations setup in Utah, implementing appropriate financial and human resources and coordinating the needs of the European HQ, in collaboration with the plants in Mexico and Brazil. In 2019 she also founded the firm NOW IMPACT to provide qualified professional advisory services to impact investors both on their financial due diligence and impact evaluation.

Previously, Summers was CFO of Maxam North and Central America Inc., based in Salt Lake City, from 2006 to 2016, and before that she occupied several positions in the finance department of Maxam in its HQ in Madrid, Spain. During her assignment as the CFO of MNA, she built a team and a sustainable financial organization that responded promptly to the needs of the European headquarters with the local requirements and resources in the US, coordinating with subsidiaries in Canada and Panama.

Currently, Summers serves on the Board of SelectHealth, an integrated health plan of Intermountain Healthcare Group, with $3 billion in revenue. She sits on the Finance Committee and the Community Relations Committee, and she served on the Audit and Compliance Committee in 2017 and 2018. She also serves on the Board of Pilar Pobil’s Legacy Foundation, where she is the vice president after having been the treasurer from 2015 to 2019. During her years in Maxam, she was part of the Board of Directors of Maxam Panama, a private corporation with a key role in the expansion of the Panama Canal and Quality Blasting Services LLC joint venture with Maxam North America for blasting services in the Michigan region. Summers is part of the Advisory Board of Loyola Andalucia Foundation for International Education, a 501c3 formed by Loyola Andalucia University to establish its presence in the United States. She is also a senior advisor at Cicero Consulting Group, an SLC-based management consulting firm focused on data analytics and with a social impact and impact investing practice.

Summers’ other associations and memberships include the Utah Women’s Forum where she was a member of the Executive Committee and was Memberships Committee Chair; International Women’s Forum, where she has been a mentor in the Women Athletes Business Network Mentoring Program; and the Women Corporate Directors Chapter of LA. She is also a member of the World Trade Association of Utah.

In November 2016, Summers completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School. She holds a master’s degree in Finance Direction and Control by the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid. She is a Registered Public Accountant (CPA) in Spain and has a BA in Economics and Business Administration at the Loyola University of Andalucia. She is also an NACD Governance Fellow.
