Managing Director, Head of the Americas - BlackRock Investment Stewardship (BIS)
Tanya Levy-Odom, Managing Director, is the Head of BlackRock Investment Stewardship (BIS) in the Americas. She is responsible for leading BlackRock's investment stewardship efforts, including engagement and voting, at more than 4,500 companies across North America, Central America, and South America.
The BIS team engages companies and others in the investment stewardship ecosystem to promote the governance and business practices aligned with long-term value creation by the companies in which BlackRock invests on behalf of clients.
Prior to joining the BIS Americas team in 2019, she served as the Executive Director of Investor Relations at Time Inc. (prior to the Meredith Corporation acquisition). Additionally, she served as the firm's Corporate Responsibility Officer. Prior to joining Time Inc., Ms. Levy-Odom was a Vice President and Domestic Equity Analyst at Alliance Bernstein, responsible for equity forecasting and stock recommendations in the Consumer sector.
Ms. Levy-Odom earned an MBA in Finance with a concentration in Portfolio Management from Fordham University and a BBA in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University. She serves as a member of the Council of Institutional Investors (CII) Corporate Governance Advisory Council; she also serves on the Brooklyn Children's Museum Board of Trustees.
