Peggy Smyth is a board director and audit committee chair with deep expertise in financial oversight through periods of significant corporate complexity. She has served on the board of Etsy (NASDAQ: ETSY) since June 2016, chairing the audit committee, and on the board of Remitly (NASDAQ: RELY) since May 2021, where she chaired the audit committee for five years and now serves as a member.

Her governance experience spans public offerings, restructurings, and strategic transactions, including Remitly’s Nasdaq IPO and Frontier Communications’ emergence from bankruptcy through its acquisition by Verizon, where she chaired the audit committee.

Previously, Smyth served as CFO of National Grid US and as a partner at QIC Global Infrastructure, building multi-dimensional financial expertise across energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors. She is a senior advisor at Alvarez & Marsal.
