Elina (Lina) Tetelbaum is a corporate partner and head of shareholder engagement and activism defense at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. She regularly counsels boards and management teams on shareholder activism, proxy fights, takeover defense, corporate governance, crisis management, and mergers and acquisitions.

Tetelbaum has advised boards across industries on complex activist, strategic, and transactional matters. Her clients have included Phillips 66, United States Steel, Kansas City Southern, National Instruments, Allergan, PDC Energy, Barnes Group, and Masonite International.

She has been recognized as a Dealmaker of the Year by The American Lawyer and is ranked by Chambers among the nation's leading lawyers for takeover defense.

Tetelbaum holds an AB in economics from Harvard University and a JD from Yale Law School.
