Ed Magee

Ed Magee is an independent director of WD-40 Company, where he serves on the audit, compensation, and finance committees. He chairs the Nashville chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors, one of NACD's most active chapters. He was named a Directors & Boards 2026 Director to Watch, an NACD Directorship 100™ honoree for 2025, and the Corporate Directors Forum's 2024 Emerging Board Leader.

As chief operating officer of Belmont University's Thomas F. Frist, Jr. College of Medicine, he leads the operational build of one of the nation's newest medical schools. His operating career spans three decades of institutional transformation. He served as general manager of Harley-Davidson's York Vehicle Operations; executive vice president of operations at Fender Musical Instruments, where he helped scale the company to $1 billion in revenue; and steward of a $1 billion profit-and-loss across 13 manufacturing facilities at Thomas & Betts.

A Naval Academy graduate and former Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, Magee flew 21 combat missions in Bosnia. He holds an MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business and an MPA from George Mason University.
