Cherene Powell is a managing director in Alvarez & Marsal's Corporate Performance Improvement practice, where she advises Fortune 500 organizations on margin expansion, cost reduction, divestitures/carve-outs, operating model transformation, and shared services/global business services.

With 25 years of experience, Powell helps C-suite leaders translate strategic and technology investments into measurable business outcomes. She leads large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives spanning operating model strategy and design, organizational transformation, and AI-enabled workforce and business model reinvention. Powell brings deep cross-industry experience across life sciences, healthcare, energy, consumer goods, retail, data centers, software and platforms, communications, and media.

Prior to joining A&M, she spent 25 years at Accenture, where she held multiple global and North American roles, including leading the North America Operating Model and Organization Design practice.

Powell holds a dual bachelor’s degree in political science and communication from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, Minnesota.
