With the continued rise of private companies and increased VC/PE activity, board service is evolving in both opportunity and complexity. This program explores how governance differs across startup and private equity–backed boards—and what that means for directors navigating where to invest their time and expertise.
Through a dynamic, panel-driven discussion, experienced practitioners will share practical insights on the unique challenges and expectations of each board environment. The conversation will address key questions, including how governance structures vary, what effective oversight looks like in different contexts, and how to successfully serve on a private equity–backed board.
Designed for directors seeking clarity and actionable guidance, this session will provide a nuanced understanding of board service across these distinct settings.
