Tracy Atkinson
Director
Tracy Atkinson is a seasoned independent director with broad experience across a range of industries. She currently serves on the boards of RTX (formerly Raytheon Technologies) and Citizens Financial Group. She previously served on the boards of U.S. Steel (until its acquisition by Nippon Steel in June 2025) and Affiliated Managers Group.
Tracy brings deep financial expertise, enterprise risk management insight, and a strong governance perspective developed over a 30+ year career. Her board experience includes CEO succession planning, transformational mergers and integrations, strategic reviews, shareholder activism, executive compensation, and regulatory matters. She has served on Audit, Risk, Compensation, Nominating & Governance, and Finance committees, with multiple leadership roles. She currently chairs the Human Capital and Compensation Committee at RTX and the Audit Committee at Citizens Financial Group. 11 Prior to retiring in April 2020, Tracy was Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at State Street Corporation, where she served on the company’s Management Committee. Over her 12-year tenure, she led enterprise-wide transformation and oversaw finance, treasury, investor relations, financial planning & analysis, accounting, financial reporting, global compliance, and operational risk. Tracy began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, rising to Partner in the asset management practice. She later served as Chief Risk and New Product Development Officer at MFS Investment Management and subsequently as CFO and Treasurer of MFS’ fund complex.
Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts and is a Certified Public Accountant. She was named to Women Inc Magazine’s Most Influential Corporate Directors List in 2018 and 2023. Tracy has also served for many years on the board of the Arc of Massachusetts.
