Jack is a senior executive with extensive international operating experience in financial services and public/private/non-profit boards.  He has deep knowledge of asset management, corporate banking, payments and fund administration activities.

Jack has spent his career in financial services including three global banks and more recently board work and consulting.  Jack began his career at American Express in New York City before moving to Pittsburgh to work for Mellon Bank.  At Mellon, Jack was promoted to CEO of its International Operations based in London and Vice Chairman serving on the Management Committee.  Jack was recruited to join State Street in Boston, also serving on the Management Committee where he ran Global Strategy, Marketing, Hedge Fund Administration, Client Management and started a new business unit called Alpha/Global Exchange building insights from custody and accounting datasets. He helped launch Hyperplane Venture Capital which has incubated two start-ups and made 55 investments focused on artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in the B2B space.  Jack is currently an active Board Director and consults on a part-time basis with Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Jack has extensive board experience across a range of companies.  Jack is one of a select few independent directors of DTCC where he chairs the Enterprise Services and Compensation and HR Committees. He was the first independent director of Cardlytics (NASDAQ:CDLX) when it was a private company and helped lead the 2018 IPO as an Audit Committee and Pricing Committee member.  He currently serves as Chairman.  Jack currently serves as Vice Chairman of Xpansiv, the world’s largest carbon trading/renewable energy platform where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee.

Jack has been active in the communities where he lives and works.  He recently spent 10 years as a board member of the Boy Scouts of America for Eastern MA including 2.5 years as Chairman. He also serves on the Advisory Council of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Jack has an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BA from Middlebury College where he earned Honors on his Senior Thesis.

Jack is a competitive skier and sailor.  He owns and skippers the America’s Cup 12 Metre sailboat Nefertiti US-19 moored in Newport, RI.
