Ellen Richstone is an accomplished board director and senior executive with over three decades of leadership at the highest levels of global business. A former CEO, Fortune 500 CFO, and Fortune 500 Treasurer, she brings deep financial expertise and extensive M&A, operational, global business, technology and governance experience across a diverse range of industries.
She has served as a public company director since 2003, contributing to boards of companies ranging in revenue from newly public entities to those exceeding $6 billion. While her operating background is rooted primarily in the technology sector, her board experience spans the automotive, industrial, consumer products, pharmaceutical, life sciences, and technology industries. Ellen brings strategic transformation expertise, audit and finance oversight, and a commitment to shareholder value to both public and private boards.
A recognized leader in corporate governance, Ellen is a NACD Board Leadership Fellow and a NACD Certified Director. In 2020, she was named to the NACD Directorship 100, and in 2023, she received the CFO Lifetime Achievement Award from the Boston Business Journal.
She currently serves on the public company Boards of Orion Energy Systems (NASDAQ: OESX), a clean tech and lighting company; and Cognition Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CGTX), a pharmaceutical firm. Her past board service includes American Power Conversion (NASDAQ: APC, Fortune 500, sold), BioAmber (NYSE: BIOA), Everyware Global (NASDAQ: EVRY, now The Oneida Group), Parnell Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ Global: PARN), eMagin (NYSE: EMAN), which was acquired by Samsung in 2023, and Superior Industries International (NYSE: SUP), a leader in industrial and automotive components, which was taken private.
