Most directors have experimented with generative AI. Far fewer have seen what happens when AI stops responding to prompts and starts completing work. Generative AI Tools for Directors 201: Strategic Applications is an advanced, live online experience built for directors who want to understand the next major shift in AI and its implications for board oversight. Through live demonstrations, guided exercises, and peer discussion, you'll see how AI agents can analyze board materials, coordinate complex tasks, evaluate strategic scenarios, and support higher-quality decision-making across today's most pressing governance issues.
This program builds directly on Generative AI Tools for Directors, moving beyond prompt writing into agent creation and board-level application. If the first program showed you how to use generative AI, this session shows you how to build AI systems that work alongside directors. You'll create a personalized governance agent aligned to your committee responsibilities and leave with a working resource you can continue refining long after the program ends.
This program is exclusively available to NACD members.

Hear what past Generative AI Tools for Directors participants say about Ryan McManus’s engaging teaching style, clear instruction, and ability to make complex AI concepts easy to understand.
Ryan was one of the best leaders and presenters I’ve experienced in AI and NACD trainings. From his instructions before the webinar to guiding us through the scenarios, switching between tools and screens, and keeping up with the chat, he created one of the best learning environments I’ve recently encountered. He kept the pace going, and I gained a lot from the session.
