La-Z-Boy, a leading furniture manufacturer, named Erika L. Alexander to its board of directors. Alexander is the chief global offcer, global operations, for Marriott International, where she is responsible for Marriott’s enterprisewide programs and platforms including quality assurance, food and beverage, hotel systems optimization, procurement, sustainability, and supplier diversity. Alexander is also a non-board member of the inclusion and social impact committee for Marriott, a board-level committee that focuses on the advancement of women and other underrepresented groups; efforts to support diverse hotel owners, customers, and suppliers; and efforts to oversee environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. She serves on the executive committee of the board for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, as well. Though Alexander has served on various nonprofit boards, this is her first public company board appointment. Media company...
