Sharon Njuguna is the director of accounting at NACD. She oversees the organization’s accounting, financial reporting, and financial management functions. She’s responsible for strengthening financial processes and systems, enhancing reporting and internal controls, and providing strategic financial insight to support informed decision-making and organizational growth.

She has more than 20 years of accounting experience gained across both the United States and the United Kingdom. Njuguna is an affiliate of ACCA Global (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and gardening.
