Gregory Cessna is an experienced director in family owned and operated businesses and privately owned companies facing generational change, strategic challenges, and governance improvements. He has demonstrated the critical thinking necessary to guide family and executive management through difficult succession decisions; strategic choices, including the merger, acquisition, and divestiture process; and engagement of the board and management teams while structuring good governance and committee practice.
He is currently the lead director of three family owned company boards: Maclean Fogg Co., where he also chairs the compensation committee; Hillandale Farms, where he serves as vice chair and is also on the governance committee; and Henderson Brothers, where he serves on the finance and audit committee and the compensation committee. From 2016 to 2023, he was on the board of Orchards at Foxcrest. He is also currently CEO of Consumer Fresh Produce, and he has held executive-level roles for School Specialty Inc., Polyvision Corp., and ABB.
Cessna earned a bachelor of science in analytical chemistry from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master of business administration from the Auburn University Harbert College of Business. He’s completed business and executive leadership programs at The American University of Paris, Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, and Carnegie Mellon University, and he holds the NACD Directorship Certification®.
