Jim Zortman is a senior advisor at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He currently serves on the boards of the US Naval Academy Foundation, the Naval Academy Athletic Foundation, United Through Reading, and the Coronado Yacht Club. He previously chaired the boards of USAA and USAA Federal Savings Bank, the San Diego Economic Development Corporation, and the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation, and served on the boards of the Institute for Defense and Business (IDB) and the Wings over America Scholarship Foundation. He was also a senior vice president at Northrop Grumman Aerospace.

Zortman served 34 years in the US Navy as a carrier aviator, ultimately commanding the US Naval Air Force and retiring as a vice admiral. He is the recipient of the 2024 Herb Klein Civic Leadership Award and the 2025 American College of Financial Services Soldier Citizen Award and was previously recognized as a NACD Directorship 100 honoree in 2023.
