Susan Dio retired from BP in 2020 after a career spanning more than 35 years in refining, petrochemicals, and oil and gas. She served as chairman and president of BP America, leading BP’s US businesses and acting as the company’s chief representative to policymakers and industry groups.

Previously, she was CEO of BP Shipping, overseeing BP’s global tanker fleet, and held leadership roles in refining, audit, and commercial operations across US, Australia, and the UK.

Dio currently serves as an independent director for Irving Oil and Kirby Corporation, a trustee of Houston Methodist Hospital of the Woodlands, and a member of the NACD Tri-Cities Chapter board and the Avina Clean Hydrogen advisory board. A chemical engineer, she holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.
