Karen Garrett is chair of New Covenant Trust Company and a member of the board of Sunrise Banks, N.A., where she serves on the board compliance and BSA committee and chairs the board revenue and operations committee.

At New Covenant Trust Company, Garrett has led the organization’s governance evolution during a period of growth, including board and committee restructuring, CEO succession, and enhancements to risk-management oversight. At Sunrise Banks, she helps oversee governance of both the bank’s technology-based products and services and its traditional bank services. She has also served on several nonprofit boards.

During her legal career, Garrett became a strategic advisor and industry expert on the challenges and opportunities of the evolving financial services sector. She was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America from 2008 through 2022.
