Spencer D. Hoole, ARM, CIC; President and CEO, Diversified Insurance Group

Spencer D. Hoole has spent his more than 25-year career working with and insuring VC-backed, private equity-financed, IPO and public companies, particularly in the technology and life sciences industries. He has insured 23 out of the last 29 IPO companies in Utah. He specializes in cyber, tech errors and omissions (E&O), venture capital asset protection (VCAP), and directors and officers (D&O) liability coverage.

In 2001, Hoole co-founded Diversified Insurance Group. Actively involved in the venture and tech communities, he serves on the NACD Utah Chapter Board (NACD Utah) and is a past member of the Utah Technology Council’s (UTC) Board of Trustees, former president of TechAssure, a v100 member, and a contributor to Silicon Slopes. He has spoken to numerous organizations, including international groups, on insuring and managing the risks of high-growth companies. He co-founded the Summit Directors and Officers Conference and has co-chaired the event for the past 20 years.
