Jason Harris

Jason is a partner in the San Antonio office Audit Practice.
He has more than 29 years of public accounting experience, serving public and private companies in the energy practice.
Jason is designated as a SEC reviewing partner within KPMG and has served companies in the energy, manufacturing, marine transportation, and power and utilities industries. He has significant experience in the energy industry and in-depth technical knowledge and experience in resolving complex accounting issues. In addition, he has recent experience with business combinations as well as other debt and equity offerings and the associated Security and Exchange Commission filings.
Jason has routinely been a reviewer in KPMG’s Quality Performance Review Process (QPRP). QPRP entails performance of professional practice reviews of other KPMG offices to evaluate compliance with firm and professional auditing standards as well as the application of technical accounting standards.
He served as the resource management partner for the Houston office and business unit responsible for the oversight of over 250 audit professionals. He has also served as the moderator of key KPMG events, including KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute’s Roundtable and various CPE events sponsored by KPMG.
Jason is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas and New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has a BS from New Mexico State University. His other professional activities include member of the board of the San Antonio Museum of Art.
