Michael Day is a seasoned energy and manufacturing industry audit practitioner, focused on serving public and privately held clients. He has extensive experience serving public and private companies as part of their routine public filings, equity offerings, debt offerings, acquisition and disposition transactions, and initial public offerings. He has advanced knowledge of auditing companies in the exploration and production space and is significantly experienced in the implementation of new accounting standards and testing of internal controls.

Day has over 16 years of accounting and auditing experience and has spent the entirety of his career with Grant Thornton. His client experience primarily consists of serving clients in the energy and manufacturing industries.

He also is on the board of directors of Child Advocates Inc., a 501(c)(3) agency supporting children and youth in Indiana, especially those who have faced trauma, abuse, neglect, and other challenges.

Day attended the University of Oklahoma where he earned a master of accountancy and a bachelor of business administration.
