Karen David-Green is an accomplished board director with extensive experience in capital markets, corporate strategy, and transformation initiatives. She serves on the boards of DNOW Inc. (NYSE: DNOW), PHX Energy Services Corp. (TSX: PHX), and private equity–sponsored Paragon ISG. She is a qualified financial expert, serving on two audit committees and as a member of the compensation and human resources and the sustainability committees. David-Green also supports the Small Steps Nurturing Center, serving on the not-for-profit board.
With over 30 years in capital markets, including leadership roles on Wall Street and as a C-suite executive, David-Green has a proven track record in strategy, marketing and commercialization, international business, stakeholder relations, and sustainability. She has expertise in guiding companies through mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt transactions, business and cultural transformations, and navigating complex business and corporate dynamics.
David-Green’s career highlights include leading energy investment research at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., Crédit Agricole, and Royal Bank of Canada and managing a multibillion-dollar chemical debt portfolio. In her corporate roles, she was a key member of the executive leadership team at Weatherford International, which spearheaded a $1 billion business transformation across more than 80 countries, doubling adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) in the first year. As chief marketing and stakeholder engagement officer for Weatherford, she was responsible for strategy, global marketing, investor relations, communications, and energy transition and sustainability. She served as president of the Weatherford Foundation, executive member of the disclosure and global business continuity and planning committees, and chair of the sustainability leadership council. She was instrumental in redefining the strategy, market position, and core values while driving business and cultural transformation.
She also served as a member of the executive leadership team at Expro Group N.V., where she was instrumental in completing a successful reverse merger and shaping the public, from private, profile. David-Green is known for her ability to drive value creation. She has a strong track record of helping companies achieve accelerated growth and profitability while safeguarding shareholder interests.
David-Green has received several acknowledgments including being named a 2020 Global Leader of Influence by the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston, one of the Top 50 Women in Oil and Gas in 2020, a 2019 Breakthrough Woman of the Year by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and multiple marketing awards. She has earned her NACD Directorship Certification® and CERT Certificate in Cyber-Risk Oversight. She earned her bachelor of business administration in finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a specialized executive certification from the University of Cambridge.
