Mitch Riley

Mitch Riley is an audit partner with over 25 years of experience in public accounting. While Mitch’s experience principally includes assisting clients within the asset management and real estate sectors, he has also worked with manufacturing, technology, energy, and chemicals companies, which were audited pursuant to standards from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Mitch provides audit services to clients in a variety of industries and has worked with both public and private clients throughout his career. He has served all aspects of financial services, including real estate, banking, investment/asset management, and private equity.
Mitch has completed a rotation in the West Regional Professional Practice Network, providing assistance to audit teams on technical accounting and audit matters as they arise. He has a thorough understanding of Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations and has been involved in numerous equity offerings and registrations.
Mitch has participated as a member of KPMG’s quality professional compliance and peer review programs and also served as a national instructor at the local and national levels. Finally, Mitch has been part of various leadership and development programs within the firm, including the Houston Business Unit Leadership Development Program and the Southwest Area Senior Manager School.
As a national instructor within KPMG, Mitch has instructed numerous audit and accounting courses on a variety of topics. He also regularly delivers presentations on technical and industry topics to clients and targets as well as to university students and other professional organizations.
Mitch has served on the board of directors of The Children’s Fund, a Houston-based organization that provides funds to charities and organizations benefiting children. Mitch currently serves as the lead recruiting partner for the University of Texas at Austin (UT) as well as a member of the Accounting Advisory Council at the UT McCombs School of Business.
