Jane Kenny

Jane M. Kenny is a founder and the Managing Partner of The Whitman Strategy Group, a consulting firm that specializes in environment and energy issues. She is a Director of New Jersey Resources, a Fortune 1000 energy services company and chairs its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. She is an honorary co-chair of Jersey Water Works, a collaborative that is working to transform New Jersey’s inadequate water infrastructure through sustainable, cost-effective solutions, and is a Trustee of New Jersey Future.
Jane’s experience includes high-level management positions in the private sector and in several government agencies. As Regional Administrator of the U.S Environmental Protection Agency, she oversaw the federal agency’s work
in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. She signed the historic decision to remediate the Hudson River, negotiated an agreement with GE to design the river’s clean up, and directed a highly successful community outreach plan involving key stakeholders in the Hudson River community. Prior to leading EPA, she was NJ’s Commissioner for the Department of Community Affairs. During her tenure, the Department devised and implemented key urban economic and neighborhood development programs. It established the nation’s first rehabilitation code and financed a record number of affordable housing units. She also served as Governor Whitman’s Chief of Policy and Planning in the Governor’s Office.
Jane is married to Gregory Myer and they have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren.
