Holly Carr is a managing director within the Forensic and Investigations group of BDO Advisory. She is a certified public accountant with over 20 years of experience who has achieved the accounting trifecta: Big Four auditor, Fortune 500 financial statement preparer, and over a decade with a federal financial regulator. Prior to joining BDO, Carr served as assistant director in the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) leading market intelligence operations. Carr played a critical role in forming an SEC Enforcement group that evaluates tips and Suspicious Activity Reports to originate investigations and examinations. She was an instrumental member of the Fraud Task Force; collaborated with numerous financial regulators, criminal authorities, and self-regulatory organizations such as the PCAOB and FINRA; and worked in tandem with the agency’s Bank Secrecy Act Group.
