Alessia Falsarone is an independent non-executive director at global insurer and asset management provider Generali (FTSE MIB; Nasdaq). She also serves on the boards of OpenCorporates Ltd, the world’s largest provider of legal entity verification data, where she chairs the Remuneration Committee, and Innovate UK Loans Ltd, the UK Government’s technology innovation investment agency. Her most recent work focuses on strategic oversight of new technologies, their financial use cases, and the evolution of operating models in cross-border settings.

With nearly three decades of leadership experience, Alessia has led strategy, investment and risk oversight functions at major financial institutions, including AIG, Citigroup, and Credit Suisse, working across the US, Europe, and Asia. She is adjunct faculty at the University of Chicago, a fellow of the Aspen Institute, a Council Leader of the U.S.-Japan Council, and a member of Arthur D. Little’s expert network. She is board chair and former treasurer of global education non-profit iEarn-USA, an implementation partner of the U.S. Department of State. An award-winning author, Ms. Falsarone holds degrees from Stanford University, the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Bocconi University in Italy. She has been recognized as a governance honoree as well as a director awardee in the NACD D100 ranking.
