Julie Murray is the principal and CEO of Moonridge Group Philanthropy Advisors and board chair for the Moonridge Foundation, a donor-advised fund providing strategy and guidance to Nevada corporations and family foundations.

Known for her ability to advance start-up organizations, she was appointed by Nevada's governor to serve on the Business Covid Emergency Operations Council and was also recruited to serve on the Las Vegas Super Bowl host committee to focus on development of successful public private partnerships. Murray was recruited by Eric Hilton from the Hilton Foundation to launch a food bank during the economic downturn in Las Vegas and served as the founding CEO of the Three Square food bank. In five years, she increased food distribution from 1 million to 15 million pounds annually, earning recognition as a national model food bank.

She has three decades of experience in nonprofit board leadership and began her service on corporate boards ten years ago, having served on the board of advisors for Wells Fargo Nevada and currently serving on the board of advisors for City National Bank Nevada, the NACD Pacific Southwest Chapter advisory board and strategic partnerships committee, and the nominating and governance committee for the University of Nevada, Reno as well as on the university's board of trustees as an emeritus trustee member. She is a founding board member of Thrive Cannabis Marketplace, the largest independently owned cannabis company in Nevada with over 5 million successful sales transactions since its inception. While serving as the board chair of the International Women’s Forum--Nevada, she led and won the successful competitive bid to secure the international conference in Las Vegas, which brought over 1,000 international female leaders to discuss world issues. She also launched the NACD/IWF board program in Las Vegas (now solely a NACD program) and remains its chair.

Murray earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, has been honored as the alumna of the year by the college, and also delivered the commencement address to the UNLV Lee School of Business class about the intersection of profit, people, and purpose.

Murray has received numerous awards and recognition for her social impact in Nevada, including Most Influential Nevadan, Best Small Business of the Year, Most Impactful Program Launched During Covid, and more.
