Hans Melotte
Director
Hans Melotte is an international business leader and board director who brings a unique combination of global profit-and-loss accountability and brand management with leadership experience in supply chain and procurement across the retail, consumer goods, and health-care industries. He has more than 30 years of operating experience at three of the world’s most admired companies: Starbucks, Johnson & Johnson, and Procter & Gamble.
Until the end of 2022, Melotte served as president of Starbucks’ channel development business across 85 markets globally. Prior to this, he served as Starbucks’ chief supply chain officer as well as interim chief technology officer. He also led the creation of Starbucks’ first-ever long-term environmental sustainability goals and strategies.
Melotte currently serves on the boards of directors of Ricola; Celsius Holdings, where he is a member of the audit and compensation committees; Revlon, where he is a member of the audit committee; and Cartamundi, where he is chair of the people, nominating, and governance committee. Previously, he served as chair of the Institute for Supply Management, vice chair of LeadersUp, board member of International Schools Services, and advisory board member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Melotte currently also serves as honorary consul of Belgium in Washington. He is the recipient of several recognitions, including being named one of Supply Chain Digital Magazine’s “Top 10 CPOs” of 2020.
