About The Event
Directors across public, private, and nonprofit boards confront common forces: accelerating complexity, disruptive technologies, shifting stakeholder expectations, and heightened accountability. This discussion reinforced that future-ready boards must evolve—through composition, capability, structure, and process—to meet the moment and lead with credibility.
With this in mind, NACD New England embarked on a research initiative to better understand how boards may need to adapt to govern effectively in an increasingly dynamic and complex environment. Through a comprehensive survey, powered by sponsor BDO USA, P.C., we gathered candid insights from board members across a range of governance topics. The findings illuminated where boards feel prepared, where gaps exist, and what practical steps directors are taking to strengthen oversight and long-term value creation.
This event was held virtually on May 18, 2026.
