William “Trey” Humphrey is an Executive Vice President and serves as Lockton’s Chief Legal Officer and Secretary. With over $4.0 billion in annual revenues, Lockton is the largest independent insurance broker in the world. Trey joined Lockton in 2000. In that time, in addition to being responsible for all legal matters affecting Lockton, Trey oversaw Lockton’s acquisition of Alexander Forbes Risk Services, now Lockton International; the divestiture of Lockton’s former lock\line business and retirement services businesses; the complete overhaul of Lockton’s capital structure; and the perpetuation of Lockton as a private, family owned company. Trey oversees a legal, risk, compliance, and secretarial team of more than 100 Associates, including 14 lawyers in the U.S., 14 in U.K., 1 in Brazil, 1 in Hong Kong, 1 in Singapore, 1 in Australia, and 1 in Dubai.

Trey is a lifelong Kansas City resident and has served on the Boards of and Chaired numerous civic, charitable, and other not for profit organizations. Trey is very engaged in public safety issues in Kansas City and currently serves on the Boards of KC Common Good and the Police Foundation of Kansas City.
