Samuel Combs III is a seasoned board member, governance and investment chair, and former Fortune 500 C-Suite energy executive. With over 30 years of leadership in capital-intensive consumer services, infrastructure, and regulated industries, Combs has consistently delivered value and strategic direction throughout his career. He served as president of ONEOK Distribution Companies, overseeing the profitability and operations of ONEOK Inc.'s multi-billion-dollar natural gas distribution segment, and providing services to over two million customers across multiple states. His expertise and board service extend to various sectors, including banking and healthcare, where he contributes as a member of audit, compensation, finance, investment, and governance committees.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Sam is the founder and CEO of a management advisory and private investment firm. His firm specializes in alternative and venture capital opportunities, leveraging his broad experience to guide strategic investments and advisory services.
Combs earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management at Oklahoma State University, where he was a member of the Alpha Pi Mu Honor Society. His commitment to continued learning is demonstrated by completion of the executive management program at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, as well as executive education at Harvard, Columbia, and Stanford universities.
