Dave Komar, NACD.DC
Director
David Komar is president of EDA Inc. In this role, he is responsible for strategy development, as well as execution, operations, and technology development. He also works closely with EDA Inc.’s CEO in analyzing and implementing major growth initiatives. He is a member of the NACD Heartland Chapter’s board of directors.
Dave serves on EDA Inc.’s board of directors. He is also on the advisory board of BaseConnect. He joined EDA Inc. in 2022 after founding and serving as CEO of Culture Guide. Prior to founding Culture Guide, Dave served for over 31 years in the United States Army, retiring as a brigadier general. In his last position, he was responsible for determining the requirements and prioritization of the army’s yearly $25 billion modernization program. Dave also served as the army’s director of business operations, responsible for the establishment of business initiatives to improve the efficiency across the army’s annual $135 billion operating budget.
He served as a Massachusetts Institute of Technology fellow (Seminar XXI) and completed the executive development program at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Dave holds master’s degrees from the US Naval War College in national security strategy, the US Air Force Command and Staff College in operational arts and sciences, and Webster University in management. Komar also holds a bachelor of arts in economics from Lafayette College.
