Mark Dailey

Mark Dailey has served on 3 public company boards, 6 private company boards and has been the Lead Director or Vice Chair on several non-profit boards.

His board experience has seen him serve on Audit, Nominating & Governance, Compensation, and Special Committee (M&A) boards. He is currently the President of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD Connecticut Chapter).

Previous public board experience was with PE-backed UniTek Global Services and its predecessor, Berliner Communications, Inc. At Berliner, Mr. Dailey served on the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and Special Committee. Additionally he served on the board of SMTP.com, a business process outsourcing company.

Mr. Dailey also served on private company boards such as OpenConnect Systems, a venture-funded process intelligence and workforce analytics software company; and on the board of BBY, Inc. a property development company; and was Lead Director for Catholic Charities of Fairfield County (Ct.) and Vice Chair of the Seton Collaborative.

In addition to his extensive board experience, Mr. Dailey is currently a Partner with Newport LLC, a national strategic advisory firm that helps owners and CEOs of midsize companies grow and improve the performance of their businesses, often in support of a successful capital transaction or sale. His most recent assignment was CEO of OpenConnect (now part of ActiveOps) a PE-owned Robotic Process Automation company specializing in digital labor for the healthcare payer industry. Prior to that he was CEO of an eDiscovery company; Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Intralinks, Inc., a venture-funded secure document distribution company; Chief Operating Officer of LexiQuest (now part of IBM), a Paris-based technology-based company exploiting linguistics and natural language processing in developing software tools to manage, access and retrieve large document collections; and Chief Operating Officer of Medcast Networks (now part of WebMD), a venture capital-backed start-up delivering comprehensive medical information to physicians.

From 1986 to 1999, Mr. Dailey was a senior executive with Bloomberg Financial Markets, a global leader in the delivery of international real-time financial information where he spent 11 years in Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong opening operations in a dozen countries.
