David Hendrickson

Mr. Hendrickson is a seasoned business leader and board director, recognized for his transformative impact on corporate governance, executive leadership, and sustainable growth across diverse industries.
An active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), he serves as an elected board member of the NACD Connecticut Chapter, chairs the Marketing and Membership Committee, and is a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee. His commitment to best practices in governance, compensation, and risk management has consistently resulted in measurable improvements in company valuation, stakeholder engagement, and long-term organizational performance.
His experience as Independent Chairman of a Nasdaq-listed company further refined his ability to navigate complex governance challenges and stakeholder relationships. He has chaired the Compensation Committee and served on both the Audit and Nominating & Governance Committees, ensuring robust oversight and accountability.
Beyond the corporate sphere, Mr. Hendrickson demonstrates a strong commitment to education and social responsibility. He serves on the advisory board of a private liberal arts college and has held board positions with the Rainforest Alliance and the Stanford Institute for the Quantitative Study of Society.
As CEO of DLH International, he has led global and domestic organizations through critical phases of governance, organizational development, executive compensation, and digital transformation.
Previously, as Senior Partner and Board Member at Heidrick & Struggles, he worked in major financial centers including London, Paris, New York, and Greenwich. He co-founded the Transnational Practice and played a pivotal role in shaping the International Technology Practice, providing him with a global perspective that informs strategic decision-making.
Mr. Hendrickson’s sector expertise includes information technology, financial services, professional and business services, retail e-commerce, consumer goods, entertainment, media, and luxury goods. He has placed numerous board members and C-suite executives and advised venture-backed startups on capital-raising and governance frameworks to drive growth.
Mr. Hendrickson began his career at IBM, where he was on the commercial team that launched the groundbreaking IBM Personal Computer and contributed to “The IBM Way: Insights into the World’s Most Successful Marketing Organization.”
His insights into governance, global markets, and innovation continue to benefit the boards on which he serves.
