Gary is a global co-leader of Sidley Austin’s Technology Industry Group. In IFLR (2011) and The Legal 500 (US) (2009, 2014), he was commended for his work in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He also regularly advises New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ issuers on a broad range of matters, including federal securities laws, corporate governance, and shareholder engagement and activism.

Gary has served many clients in representative M&A and other transactions-15 of which were in excess of $1 billion-including Aon Corp., Catamaran Corp. (formerly SXC Health Solutions Corp.), CDW Corp., PayPal Holdings Inc., eBay Inc., IGT, Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc., First Data Corp., Equity Office Properties Trust, the special advisory committee of the Clear Channel board of directors, Ryan Specialty Group, Saks Inc., and Medline Industries Inc.
