Claudia Schubert is a global business leader and independent board director with deep expertise in strategy development, brand-building, and transforming operating models. She has a long track record of creating shareholder value across multiple consumer, hospitality and luxury businesses. She is well versed in operating in regulated industries and managing complex distribution strategies. Claudia is experienced in serving as advisor and non-executive director to businesses and non-profit boards.She currently serves as a Senior Advisor with the Boston Consulting Group in the Consumer Practice, advising global clients on growth strategies and business transformations across CPG, Retail and Hospitality in North America and Europe. She is a Non-Executive Director for Vinarchy, one of the world’s largest wine companies, where she chairs the investment committee and is a member of the renumeration committee. 

She also serves as Director on the Board of Trustees of the Culinary Institute of America, the premier global culinary college. Previously, as Board Director for Distill Ventures she guided founder teams to capture new consumer opportunities and served as Director for the Netherlands-based Ketel One Joint Venture.  Claudia has over two decades of business leadership experience across North America and Europe, most recently, as President Diageo North America, where she oversaw the company’s largest region with $8B in revenue, 200+ brands and 12 production sites. Claudia successfully guided Diageo NA through pandemic-related supply and channel disruptions. Prior to that, she led the transformation of Diageo’s Europe and Middle East business across 51 countries and held a variety of executive commercial roles in the US and Canada. Her leadership and contributions to the industry have earned her recognition as Market Watch’s 2023 Industry Executive of the Year, the first woman to receive this honor in the spirits, beer, and wine industries.
