Evelyn Dilsaver

Starting as a certified public accountant at Ernst & Young, Evelyn Dilsaver spent the first 17 years of her career in the audit and finance function as controller for a bank, and later for Charles Schwab as chief financial officer (CFO) and chief administrative officer for US Trust, a wealth management firm. She was given the opportunity to hone her skills in marketing, business development, strategy, product development, and mergers and acquisitions, culminating in the role of executive vice president of Charles Schwab, member of the management committee, and president and CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management, where she was responsible for all aspects of the business, and growing the assets to more than $200 billion while generating $1 billion in revenue.
Recognized in the community for her leadership, she has received a number of awards from the San Francisco Business Times, including the “100 Most Influential Women in Business” award from 2003 through 2009; “Outstanding Director of the Year” award in 2014 and the “Inspire Award” in 2018.
She was named California State University’s 2008 East Bay alumna of the year, and in 2016, she received an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Cal State University (CSU) East Bay. In 2019 she was named as one of Nasdaq’s 100 Directors and as an NACD Directorship 100™ honoree for 2020 and 2022. She is a frequent guest speaker and panelist at NACD global and chapter events, at Women Corporate Director events, and at boot camps for aspiring directors at employee resource groups and university MBA programs.
Evelyn has served on several public and private boards. She currently serves on public company boards Tempur Sealy as audit chair (New York Stock Exchange: TPX); as chair of nominating and governance for Health Equity (Nasdaq: HQY) and PACS Group Inc. (NYSE: PACS); as audit committee member for QuidelOrtho (Nasdaq: QDEL); for global consulting firm Protiviti, and Bailard Real Estate Investment Trust. She was previously board chair for The Commonwealth Club and the Blue Shield Foundation and cochair of the Women Corporate Directors Advisory Board. She formerly served on the boards of Blue Shield of California, Long Drugs, Tamalpais Bancorp, Aéropostale, High Mark Funds, and the NACD Northern California chapter.
She is a graduate of CSU East Bay and the Stanford Executive Program.
