Barbara Berlin is a managing director in PwC’s Governance Insights Center, which strives to strengthen the connection between directors, executive teams, and investors by helping them navigate the evolving governance landscape.

With more than 20 years of experience at PwC, Barbara brings extensive knowledge to organizations in governance matters, including board composition, cybersecurity, generative artificial intelligence (AI), and crisis oversight. She is a well-known speaker on governance topics. Barbara has been recognized on the NACD Directorship 100TM honorees list as a leading governance expert and influencer.

Barbara has authored and contributed to many PwC governance publications, including Board Composition: The Road to Strategic Refreshment and Succession, Overseeing Cyber Risk: The Board’s Role, The Power of AI and Generative AI: What Boards Should Know, and Being Prepared for the Next Crisis: The Board’s Role. She has earned a certificate in cybersecurity oversight, issued by the CERT Division of the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.

Barbara is a certified public accountant (licensed in New York) and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo with a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
