Sara Faivre is an experienced Independent board director, and an accomplished strategy and leadership development consultant. She is also a partner in Wild Type Ranch, a grass-raised beef company based in Cameron, Texas, which she started in 2005. Dr. Faivre was appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Ag Mortgage Corporation (’Farmer Mac’ NYSE: AGM) in 2010 by President Barack Obama. She also serves on the board of One More Cloud, a privately held technology company in Austin, Texas; and NACD Texas TriCities Chapter. Sara has served on all major board committees, with particular expertise in compensation, ESG, strategy, and risk. She is an NACD Board Leadership Fellow, NACD Certified Director, and the Austin Advisory Board Co-Chair of the NACD Texas TriCities Chapter where she is also a board member.

Dr. Faivre is passionate about great governance and is a champion of sustainable capitalism. Her executive experience in biotechnology, agriculture, and sustainable practices inform her approach to boardroom issues. With experience in production agriculture, startups, and academia, Sara brings a diversity of thought and perspective to her clients and her boards. She is an investor in, and mentors for, AgFunder’s GROW sustainable AgTech and FoodTech startup fund.

Sara divides her time between her ranch in Cameron, TX, and her home office near Austin, TX. She is the proud parent of two teenage boys. She is an aspiring classical guitar and banjo player, and is a third-level student of Parelli Natural Horsemanship.
