Michelle Hong

Director

Michelle Hong is a founding partner of Northern Trust’s Philadelphia office, where she and her team work with business owners, corporate executives, endowed nonprofit organizations, and multigenerational families. She is a corporate director of PECO, an Exelon company and the largest electric and natural gas utility in Pennsylvania, and a board member of NACD Philadelphia.
Hong began her career in private legal practice at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City and at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia. She earned her law degree from Harvard Law School and her bachelor of arts from Duke University. She studied British Literature at the University of Oxford in as a Lord Rothermere Scholar.

Hong's commitment to the Philadelphia community is evident in her extensive history of nonprofit board service. She currently serves on the boards of Main Line Health, the Committee of Seventy, WHYY, and the Center City District Foundation. She is a member of the Forum of Executive Women and has received awards and accolades from the Philadelphia Business Journal, Philadelphia Magazine, the Arts and Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, and Metro Philadelphia.
