Recently appointed by President Biden to the Presidential Commission on White House Fellowships, Linda Whitlock is a seasoned director of highly regulated public companies, private equity-backed portfolio companies, and billion dollar charitable enterprises, in industry sectors including financial services, healthcare, real estate, arts and culture, sports, and education. Now serving on the boards of the Red Sox Foundation and the NACD New England Chapter, she has been honored as a Distinguished Bostonian by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and has been recognized by many other corporate, civic, and philanthropic organizations in the region. Whitlock currently serves as founder and principal of The Whitlock Group, providing management, strategy, and governance consulting to boards and CEOs. She previously was a transformative CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, one of the region’s most esteemed and high-performing institutions; served in the administrations of Massachusetts Governors Dukakis and King; and taught at MIT, Tufts, and the University of Michigan. She has been appointed by Democratic and Republican governors and mayors to an array of boards and commissions and has had leadership roles on political campaigns at the presidential, congressional, state, and local levels. Whitlock has an AB from Mount Holyoke College and an AM from the University of Michigan, and she completed Executive Education programs at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, and the Aspen Institute. She has been awarded Honorary Doctorates by Babson College, Pine Manor College, and Suffolk University.
