Jeffrey Sonnenfeld is senior associate dean for Leadership Studies, the Lester Crown Professor in Management Practice at Yale School of Management, and founder and president of the Chief Executive Leadership Institute. Previously, he was a professor at Emory's Goizueta Business School and the Harvard Business School. Sonnenfeld's research was published in Administrative Sciences Quarterly and he authored The Hero's Farewell and Firing Back. Sonnenfeld’s work is regularly cited by BusinessWeek, CBS, and FOX, as well as PBS. He is a staff contributor for CNBC and staff columnist for FORTUNE, TIME, Chief Executive, and Corporate Board Member. Poets&Quants named him 2022 Professor of the Year, Worth named him among the “Worthy 100 Leaders,” and he was named to the NACD Directorship 100™. Sonnenfeld advised the White House and testified before the US Congress. He is a director of Lennar, IEX Exchange, and Connecticut Innovations and an Atlas Merchant Capital senior advisor.
