Margaret Jenkins

Margaret L. Jenkins is an independent board director whose extensive background in advertising, account management, consumer marketing, and corporate governance has made her a sought-after advisor across industries.
In 2002, the Los Angeles native switched coasts to serve as the chief marketing officer for Spartanburg, South Carolina-based Denny's Corp., the nation's largest family restaurant company. In the years since, she has planted deep roots within the Southeast's business community and beyond.
Margaret’s board service includes eight years as a corporate director of PVH Corp., parent company of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, from 2006 to 2014. Current board seats include national retailers Kohl’s, where she sits on the audit committee, and Citi Trends, whose corporate social responsibility committee she chairs.
Margaret’s nonprofit governance responsibilities include chairing the board of directors of Prisma Health-Upstate, South Carolina’s largest healthcare provider, which she has done since its inception in 2017. She recently joined the board of the NACD Carolinas Chapter, a branch of the national organization representing 1,700-plus corporations. Margaret sits on the Dean’s Council for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. She is also on the Advisory Board of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra and a director on the board of the Sigal Music Museum, home to one of the most extensive collections of historical instruments in the United States.
An alumna of the University of Colorado where she studied journalism and communications, Margaret also received a public company governance certification from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Margaret is also a graduate of the Riley Institute at Furman University’s Diversity Leaders Initiative.
An avid philanthropist and visual and performing arts enthusiast, Margaret resides in Greenville, South Carolina.
